We've a bumper issue of the newsletter this month ahead of our main event in May, when the 19th annual Network Computing Awards will take place in central London. The 2025 finalists have been nominated and you now have until May 12th to vote online for your ultimate winners in each category, so please visit the Awards website to cast yours.
There's also still a little time left to submit a case study of a customer success story for the Network Project of the Year award, which is one of our judged categories. All entries will need to be received by 23rd April so please email david.bonner@btc.co.uk for more details. The evening awards ceremony to announce - and celebrate! - our winners will take place on 22nd May at the Hilton London Tower Bridge, and if you'd like to attend then please contact David at the email address above. We hope to see you there on the night.
Elsewhere this month we've got articles that look at the challenges facing network admins when dealing with internet outages across increasingly complex tech estates - and how real time visibility can help, consider whether organisations are doing enough to protect against data loss with a backup and recovery strategy, and examine whether 2025 is the right time to upgrade to WiFi 7. We also have a review of the latest release of LiveAction's LiveNX network monitoring, analytics and visualisation platform, the first since the company's recent acquisition by BlueCat Networks.
