AI is here to stay and this month we're taking a look at how best to integrate it into the workplace. First, Tal Barmeir, CEO and Co-founder of BlinqIO shares her insights into why UK employers and employees are becoming increasingly receptive to AI. Tal addresses the understandable fears about job security and considers the technology's role in everyday work activities, writing that "By addressing AI as a tool for enhancement rather than replacement, UK workplaces can navigate the future with optimism."
Zyxel Networks' Hugh Simpson, also considers the impact of AI on the workforce and concerns about job losses in his article on how AI can prove to be a positive force for network admins and managed service providers. "Yes, AI will change things" according to Hugh, "but while some jobs will be lost, other positions and new businesses will be created. We will all have to adapt to those changes. For the technology industry, dealing with constant change is business as usual. Our belief at Zyxel Networks is that AI is already delivering really positive benefits for MSPs and network admins and in the future will bring many more."
We also have Julius Cerniauskas, CEO at Oxylabs, taking a deep dive on DeepSeek, assessing the shockwaves the AI app has sent through the AI community since the launch of DeepSeek R1 in January. For Julius its instant success and huge popularity poses three key questions for the future of AI: "First, how legitimate (and sustainable) are the massive AI investments in the West? Second, what risks and opportunities does open-source development pose? Finally, is it possible to balance growth and innovation with data privacy and security amidst a global AI race?" Read Julius' article this month for the answers.
